Facebook To Incorporate Hashtags
Twitter is widely known for having hashtags galore. Twitter basically invented hashtags as we know them today.
However there is a new competitor that will be utilizing hashtags, Social giant Facebook.
The announcement came just recently, but has been in anticipation for quite a while now.
As long as 3 years ago there were talks about Facebook potentially utilizing hashtags, so this is something that has been in the works for quite some time.
There is still some speculation as to how they will work beyond the obvious #hashtags usage in status updates. There could be all sorts of cool new features and functions that will allow you to search by hashtags.
