Netflix and YouTube Account For Half Of Internet Traffic
A recent report showed that half of the Internet’s traffic comes from YouTube and Netflix. Both of the sites, video content based sites.
Netflix is becoming a powerhouse in the on demand monthly subscription model, while YouTube remains a free service owned by Google that monetizes through advertising.
Netflix share has surpassed Google’s YouTube to be at 31% of all downstream traffic.
The mobile portion of the traffic is coming in at 17%. Facebook is down to 1% of all internet traffic. Netflix is a public company currently trading at $333 per share.
