Pinterest Will Soon Have Advertising
Have you ever wondered on Pinterest makes money? Well truth is, up until now, they basically don’t.
Soon, the service will be offering advertising to companies that want to feature their pins.
This will allow an advertiser to feature pins at the top of a users page for a fee.
It’s not yet clear how the model will work, if it will be per view of the pin, per click on the pin, or both.
Many people also wonder how this will affect users. If it will blend in like Facebook ads or what will happen exactly to the user base.
Either way, this is probably a good thing. It will put more money in Pinterest pockets, allow them to pay back investors and ultimately allow the service to grow bigger and bigger.
