The TSA is now making turning on devices mandatory during security screenings in order to check for explosives.
The next time you fly your smartphone better not be out of battery as the TSA is now making it mandatory for all gadgets to be turned on when going through screenings at airports.
The TSA has changed the guidelines with cell phones and tablets as they become more and more popular and therefore, pose a greater risk to flyers.
If the device is not able to be turned on it will either have to go through an additional security check or it will be confiscated by airport security.
According to the TSA, the new measures are in response to terrorist threats and is just another way the government is working to ensure that security measures remain updated.
